Ukraine has switched to winter time: how to find the exact time in Kyiv

On the night of Sunday, October 29, Ukraine switched to winter time. Clocks were set back one hour at 4 o'clock in the morning.

This process has its disadvantages and advantages, particularly the confusion people experience when trying to figure out the correct time. OBOZ.UA has decided to remind you how to find out the exact time in Kyiv after the clocks are reset.

Most phone and smartphone owners need not worry about this, as gadgets automatically adjust the time. Manual adjustments are only required for mechanical watches.

If you still have doubts about the current time after daylight saving time, the Internet can help. In your browser's search bar, you can type: "find out the exact time in Kyiv" or "exact time in Ukraine," and you will immediately receive the correct result. You can also check it using an online clock.

If you don't have access to the Internet, you can use your mobile operator's service. Just dial *160# on your phone, and all operators, without exception, will provide you with the exact time and date in Ukraine (Kyiv time).

The same information can be obtained from a landline by calling 121. For such calls from a mobile phone, you will be charged according to your operator's tariffs.

It's worth noting that daylight saving time is observed in 70 countries worldwide. Ukraine has been changing its clocks twice a year since 1981. Several years ago, the Verkhovna Rada considered a draft law to abolish this practice in the country, but the MPs failed to vote for it.
