Former Russian national team goalkeeper Vladimir Gabulov has said that footballers should sacrifice themselves for the sake of the country when they play for the national team. He also called for the players to be "executed" if they do not show enough dedication on the pitch.
Gabulov expressed this opinion in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The former Dynamo Moscow, CSKA Moscow and Belgian Brugge player, who has played 10 matches for the aggressor country's national team, said that the players "do not belong to themselves" when playing for the Russian national team.

When they wear the national team shirt, they no longer belong to themselves, they belong to the country for which they must sacrifice themselves. It will be recalled that the Russian national team played friendly matches with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in November, ending them with the same score of 0:0.
