Propagandist Prilepin's Car Exploded in Russia: All Special Services Work at the Site

Russia said that an Audi Q7 car carrying Zakhar Prilepin was blown up in Nizhny Novgorod on May 6. The propagandist's guard was killed and Prilepin himself was seriously injured.

Russian media are reporting about it. They report that all services are working at the scene of the explosion.

"In Nizhny Novgorod, an Audi Q7 car with Zakhar Prilepin in it was blown up. All services are working at the site," the propagandists reported at 12:15 on May 6.

Russian propagandists claim that Prilepin's driver was killed in the explosion. At the same time, according to the popular Z-public, liquidated the personal guard of the propagandist, who began to fight against Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion in February 2022.

"The incident took place in the region, the explosion killed Prilepin's personal security guard with the call sign "Evil." The team offers condolences to all the loved ones of our comrade in arms. We pray for Zakhar. Doctors are now fighting for his life," the propagandists wrote.

Russian media also spread information citing "a source close to the Interior Ministry" that Prilepin was seriously injured.

"Source: Zakhar Prilepin was seriously injured - his legs were injured. The driver Alexander died on the spot. In the "Audi," they were traveling together. An IED was placed under the hood. The car exploded at about 10:40 and overturned. The crater under the car is about 1.5 meters in diameter and 0.7 meters deep. A helicopter is waiting at the site," propagandists reported.

"According to clarified data, one leg is broken and the other is mechanically amputated," the Russian Ateo Breaking subpubic specified. Earlier its authors wrote about the propagandist's both legs being broken.

According to the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Prilepin felt fine.

The Russian media cannot yet decide where the propagandist was coming from or where he was going. Some reported that Prilepin was allegedly on his way to visit his family in Nizhny Novgorod. But an explosive device planted by unknown assailants under the undercarriage interrupted the trip. They assure us that Prilepin's daughter was traveling in the car with him, but they managed to drop her off shortly before the explosion.

Other propaganda sources, however, insist that Prilepin was returning to Moscow from Russia-occupied Donbas: after Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he was "deputy commander of the Oplot battalion of the Rosgvardia."

"Prilepin was returning to Moscow from "LDNR" territory, the source added. Today he crossed a checkpoint on the border territory. Presumably, the suspects accompanied Prilepin's car. It is known that on the way he stopped to eat in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Immediately after he continued driving, there was an explosion," the propagandists wrote.

Some propagandists suggested that unknown persons might have attached an explosive device under the hood of the car while Prilepin was in the cafe.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, following the explosion of Zakhar Prilepin's car, roadblocks were set up. In particular, police officers at the entrance to Bor stop and inspect all cars without exception.
