Due to the specifics of their use, kitchen towels require constant washing, and the active ingredients in detergents quickly spoil their appearance. However, there is no need to replace them with new ones every few months. A method that housewives call Japanese will help you wash and even whiten kitchen towels.

OBOZREVATEL looked into the nuances of the method. It surprises with the ingredients used to make the detergent. To wash kitchen towels in this way, you will need:

  • 10 liters of water;
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard powder;
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil;
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar.

Heat water, dissolve mustard, and add oil and vinegar. Dip towels in the resulting liquid and leave them in it for 12 hours.

After the towels are soaked, they must be rinsed properly. First, they must be immersed in very cold water and then rinsed in hot water. Proper Japanese washing should not only remove stains but also whiten yellowed or grayed fabric.
