How to wash bed linen to make it perfectly clean and fresh
Due to constant contact with the body, bedding often becomes stained and can absorb specific odors. The right approach to washing can solve the problem. And conventional detergents may not be enough for this. After all, they accumulate in the fabric over time, especially if you use them excessively, and make it stiff.
A single product that is inexpensive and sold in any store will help to cope with stiffness, stains, and odors at the same time. As OBOZREVATEL has found out, it is ordinary white vinegar.
To properly wash bedding with vinegar, it should be added to the washing machine separately from the main detergent: powder or gel. Pour half a cup of the liquid directly into the drum or add it to the fabric softener compartment. You can also add vinegar to the detergent tray during the rinse cycle. This will soften and refresh the fabric.
To remove stains from bedding, you can treat them with vinegar before washing. Apply a mixture of the substance and water in a 1:1 ratio to the stain and leave it for a few minutes. After that, wash the items as usual. In case of heavy soiling, you can use undiluted vinegar.
An important caveat is that the product is not suitable for all fabrics. For example, it can discolor dark or bright bedding. It is also better not to use vinegar on silk items.
