How to make sure your towels are always soft: 5 tips for washing

Towels can be an ideal environment for the development of germs and bacteria, so they need to be changed regularly. But frequent washing leads to a loss of fabric quality, and it becomes stiff and unpleasant to the touch.

Vinegar and baking soda

If your towels are rough and stiff, use these two ingredients separately. Add 250 ml of vinegar to the drum and the powder to the special compartment, start the appropriate mode.

Mix eight tablespoons of baking soda with detergent and pour it into the powder compartment. These ingredients will not only soften the fabric, but also help get rid of dirt and odors.

Do not overload the washing machine

To keep your towels soft and fluffy, you need to ensure that they are washed and rinsed properly. Do not load the drum with many things, as this will not allow you to clean the fabric properly.

Detergent

Do not use too much detergent, as this will make your towels stiff. The detergent will accumulate more and more in the fabric fibers, which will lead to coarsening.

It also gives the towels a "dirty" and faded appearance.

Rinse aid

Rinse aid leaves the fabric with a pleasant scent, but over time it will stiffen the towel and reduce its ability to absorb moisture. You should avoid rinse aid or use it every three to four washes.

Wash regularly

To prevent the growth of bacteria, you should wash your bath towels twice a week. If you have sensitive skin, you should do it more often.
