How to easily clean the oven rack: a win-win method
Oven racks quickly become covered with an unsightly coating. This is due to the constant exposure to high temperatures. This causes the material to darken, and spilled food quickly sticks to the metal and negatively affects the oven's performance. However, it is possible to clean such a grill. And you don't even have to rub it with effort.
OBOZ.UA has learned about an effective home-made tool that will help you easily and quickly remove dirt from the oven grill. To make it, you will need affordable ingredients.
To make a mixture for cleaning the grill, take the following products:
- soda ash - 5 tablespoons;
- laundry soap - 1 bar, grated on a coarse grater;
- citric acid - 1 teaspoon;
- water - 10 liters.
Dissolve all the ingredients in water and pour the mixture into a container large enough to fit the entire oven rack. Remove the item from the cooled oven, remove any dirt that can be easily removed mechanically, place the rack in this mixture, and place it on the stove. When the liquid comes to a boil, reduce the heat and leave the item to simmer for an hour.
During this time, the cleaning mixture will effectively break down the grease on the metal surface and properly disinfect the grill. All you have to do is rinse it under running water, dry it, and put it back in place. The grill will be clean and shiny and hygienic, which is important when cooking.
