How to cook liver properly

Liver is a very healthy and easy-to-cook product that can be used to make cutlets, chops, and salads. You can also roast it with onions, cook it with apples, sauces and spices.

The recipe for a delicious liver salad with onions and milk sauce was published on the Instagram foodblog"Smakoluk.ua".

Tip: To make sure the liver is not bitter, it should be scalded with boiling water and soaked in milk!

Ingredients:

  • liver - 500-700 grams
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • flour - 1 tbsp.
  • milk - 200-300 ml
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • nutmeg - 0.25 tsp.
  • hard cheese - 100-150 gr.

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the onion into half rings and fry in a little oil until golden.

2. Peel the liver, cut into not very large pieces, add to the onion and fry under a lid over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes.

3. Next add the spices and flour and mix.

4. Add milk and stir again, stew over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.

5. Add the grated cheese and stir until the cheese is completely dissolved.
