How prepared are Ukrainian power grids, TPPs and NPPs are for winter: the Ministry of Energy told about the situation
Ukrainian thermal power plants are only 30% prepared for the next winter. In turn, nuclear power plants are ready for 70%.
At the same time, the situation with power grids is better - they are ready for 98%. This was told by the advisor to the Minister of Energy Lana Zerkal during the broadcast of Business Breakfast from Forbes.
Zerkal noted that some damaged transformers have been repaired or replaced. At the same time, construction of protective structures against drone attacks has still not begun.
"The reconstruction agency has taken to building large sarcophagi, but everything is still at the initial stage there as well," the minister's advisor noted.
Zerkal emphasized that it is necessary to accelerate with the restoration of generation facilities, otherwise Ukraine will not pass the winter without blackouts. "The plan for the restoration of generation has been fulfilled by one third," she noted.
At the same time there is still some time for preparation. "We have 45 days. The government, specialists, the regulator have all the opportunities and tools to level all the risks. And the winter will show who and where "screwed up", - added the advisor to the Minister of Energy.
At the same time, later in the Ministry of Energy said that the information about the state of the repair campaign at energy facilities does not correspond to reality.

For example, in Lviv region they will be introduced from October 1. In this case, the duration of blackouts can be up to two hours in a row and four hours per day.
