"Fighting the enemy in the hottest spots": Zelenskyy presents awards to SBU officers. Photos and videos

On the eve of the Day of the Security Service of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards to the agency's employees. He stressed that the SBU representatives are fighting the enemy at the frontline - in the hottest spots, as well as ensuring cyber defence of Ukraine, stabilising the situation in the de-occupied cities, and making sure that the enemy has no henchmen in any part of our country.

This was reported on the website of the Office of the President on Friday, March 24. Zelenskyy stressed that the year of war has put the SBU in a constant battle for Ukraine and at the same time - a tough internal selection, internal purification (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

The Head of State presented the SBU servicemen with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree, "For Courage" of the II degree, "For Courage" of the III degree, Danylo Halytskyi, medals "For Military Service to Ukraine" and "To the Defender of the Fatherland". He handed over the Order of the Golden Star to the family of the fallen Hero of Ukraine.

According to the president, the details of many of the tasks carried out by the department's fighters can only be told after our victory. Then the time will come for the secret heroic operations of the SBU to become legends of the Ukrainian people.

"But all Ukrainians can already be sure that the Security Service of our state will add more and more heroic pages to our national history," the politician said.

He thanked the soldiers for guaranteeing Ukraine a solid foundation of security, part of which was their success in fighting against the occupiers, in confronting the internal enemy, and in protecting the state from collaborators.

The Head of State noted that freedom and independence of Ukraine was gained at a great price and Ukrainian heroes, including those from the SBU, gave their lives for the country to survive and for Russia to be defeated.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, Zelenskyy took part in the solemn celebration of the 9th anniversary of the National Guard and the graduation of officers from the National Academy of the National Guard and the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard. He noted that Ukrainians are at a crucial stage in the struggle for their independence.
