"Cotton" pops in Minsk: explosions and a massive fire break out near a car factory. Video.
On Monday, March 27, the capital of Belarus, Minsk, was restless. In the evening, there were explosions near the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), located at 2 Sosialistichnaya Street.
This was reported by eyewitnesses of the incident on social media (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page). They wrote that they heard several "pops" around 19:15.
After that, a massive fire broke out in the area of the plant, with large puffs of black smoke visible from afar.
The Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations has not yet commented on the incident. Minsk local authorities are also silent.
It should be noted that Minsk Automobile Plant is the largest state-owned enterprise in Belarus that produces heavy-duty automotive and bus equipment.
