Better than store-bought: how to make your own dishwashing detergent

The trend toward environmentally friendly and safe household chemicals encourages many to switch to homemade products. Some of them can be no worse than the factory ones.

So OBOZREVATEL found out a homemade recipe for dishwashing liquid. It is made with the addition of soda and used as usual. It is environmentally friendly and suitable even for washing children's plates and cups.

To prepare the liquid, you will need:

• a bar of baby soap;
• water;
• 1 tablespoon of vodka;
• 4 tablespoons of apothecary glycerin;
• 2 tablespoons of baking soda.

Grate soap on a grater and dissolve the resulting shavings in 0.5 liters of warm water. The resulting solution is brought to a boil in a water bath, then add water to get exactly 0.5 liters of liquid. After that, the remedy can be taken off the fire.

While the mixture is still warm, add vodka and glycerin and mix thoroughly. The last thing to be mixed is the baking soda.

When the liquid cools, it remains to pour it into a bottle with a dispenser. Then, the product can be used as usual, either by applying it to a sponge or by adding it directly to the dishes.
