Unusual recipe for salted redfish: you will need beets

Redfish is best salted at home, so you can be sure of the quality of the product. But instead of the classic version with regular salt, you can use a much more original version with beets. The fish will have a very attractive color, and the taste will pleasantly surprise you.

The idea of cooking lightly salted redfish with beets was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna with the nickname kate_lastivka. This fish is used to make delicious sandwiches.

Ingredients:

  • 350 g of redfish
  • 10 tablespoons of salt
  • 10 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of orange zest
  • 1 tbsp of lemon zest
  • a bunch of dill
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 bay
  • 3 peas of allspice

Method of preparation:

1. Mix all ingredients except fish in a bowl.

2. Squeeze out the juice from the beets.

3. Put the cling film in the mold.

4. Sprinkle with half of the mixture.

5. Place a piece of fish.

6. Fill with the rest of the mixture.

7. Wrap in film and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
