The perfect alternative to bread: a hearty pie with eggs and fish for soups and salads
Pies are very simple and easy-to-prepare dishes that can be filled with savory ingredients such as meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, and sweet ones such as berries, fruit, and cottage cheese. It is worth noting that pies can be an ideal alternative to bread.
Food blogger Alyona shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious pie with eggs and fish, based on phyllo dough.
Ingredients:
- phyllo dough - 3-4 sheets
- frozen spinach - 200 g
- fish fillet - 300 g
- raw eggs - 2 pcs.
- hard cheese - 100 g
- olive oil - 3 tbsp.
- thyme - 3 sprigs
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the fish fillet into small cubes, season with salt and pepper, add thyme.
2. Beat the eggs.
3. Defrost the spinach, squeeze out the moisture, and grate the cheese.
4. Put a sheet of phyllo dough in a baking dish, brush with olive oil, put the fish, spinach with cheese and egg on top and form the sides.
5. Top with boiled eggs, cut in half, and sprinkle with grated cheese.
6. Bake the pie for 40-45 minutes at 200 C.
