The most delicious marinade for baked chicken drumsticks: an idea from a famous chef

To make chicken drumsticks soft and juicy, you need to choose a delicious marinade for them. Do not use fatty mayonnaise, as well as various packaged marinades from the store. The best option would be to choose yogurt for the base.

The idea of cooking appetizing chicken drumsticks in a yogurt marinade was published on the Instagram page of the famous Ukrainian chef Liza (lizaglinskaya). Crispy potatoes are the perfect accompaniment to the drumsticks.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of chicken drumsticks
  • 250 g of thick white yogurt
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • salt (to taste)
  • chili pepper (optional)

Ingredients for delicious rustic potatoes with drumsticks:

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. dry garlic
  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric
  • 40 ml of vegetable oil (2.5 tbsp)
  • salt (to taste)

Ingredients for the yogurt sauce:

  • thick white yogurt
  • dill
  • garlic
  • salt

Method of preparation:

1. Rinse and dry the chicken drumsticks well.

2. Add paprika, salt, and, if desired, chili pepper to the yogurt.

3. Mix everything well and roll the drumsticks in this marinade.

4. Put the meat in a separate container, cover it with cling film, and refrigerate for 10-12 hours.

5. Wash the potatoes well and cut them into slices.

6. Boil the pieces in salted water after boiling for 5 minutes.

7. Remove from the stove.

8. Add paprika, dry garlic, turmeric, and a little salt to the oil.

9. Drain the water from the potatoes and add the prepared flavored oil to the pieces.

10. Put the chicken and potatoes on a baking sheet with parchment.

11. Put in a preheated 185-degree oven with convection for 25-30 minutes (longer if the drumsticks are large).

12. For the sauce, chop the dill and garlic, and add salt and yogurt.

13. Take the drumsticks with potatoes out of the oven and serve with the sauce.
