Strawberry confiture instead of jam: you can eat it right away or store it for the winter

Confiture is not just jam, but an independent dessert. You can simply eat it with a spoon or use it as a filling for baking. The preparation is moderately sweet, it is perfectly stored in jars for the winter and in the refrigerator.

The idea of making strawberry jam instead of jam was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Maria Shemet (mashashemet). You only need 4 ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 700 g strawberries
  • 350 g of sugar
  • 20 g of corn starch
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Method of preparation:

1. Peel and rinse the strawberries

2. Cover with sugar.

3. Beat with a blender, add starch, and put on low heat.

4. Stirring, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. The confiture should thicken slightly before your eyes, add lemon juice.

5. Put it in pre-sterilized jars or in a regular jar and refrigerate so that you can eat it right away.
