Spectacular Tbilisi salad from simple ingredients: how to cook

"Tbilisi is a very impressive Georgian salad with veal, vegetables, and garlic. The dish is quite spicy, hearty, and healthy. You don't need mayonnaise because the dressing is made with olive oil.

The idea of preparing a hearty Tbilisi salad was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Lilia with the nickname twins.mom.8 . It is perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients:

  • veal - 300 grams
  • red beans (canned) - 1 can
  • red onion - 1-2 pcs
  • bell pepper - 2 pcs
  • walnuts - 2-3 handfuls
  • cilantro - 50-70 grams
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • black pepper, hops-suneli, salt - to taste
  • wine vinegar - 1-2 tbsp
  • olive oil - 5-7 tbsp
  • hot pepper, lemon juice - optional

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the onion into half rings and pour boiling water with wine, vinegar, and a pinch of salt for a few minutes.

2. Boil the meat in salted water.

3. Cut the pepper into thin strips, rinse the beans under running water.

4. When the meat has cooled, cut it into cubes.

5. Finely chop the cilantro, and garlic, and chop the nuts (you can fry them a little beforehand).

6. Combine all ingredients, add salt and spices to taste.

7. Season with oil, vinegar and lemon juice.
