Buckwheat boiled in a saucepan often turns out to be rather dry and bland. But this cereal can actually be very tasty. To do this, it needs to be stewed with minced meat and vegetables in a frying pan.

Ingredients:
- buckwheat (dry) – 350 g
- minced meat – 550 g (beef, veal, chicken)
- onion – 120 g
- garlic – 2-3 cloves
- carrots – 140 g
- herbs (dill and parsley) – 15 g
- water – 700-900 ml
- tomatoes – 3 tbsp
- salt, pepper, paprika
Method of preparation:
Fry the onion in a frying pan

1. Pour a drop of oil into the frying pan.
2. Add the chopped onion and garlic.
3. Fry for 3-4 minutes.

4. Add the carrots, cut into large pieces.
5. Stir and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
6. Add the minced meat, stirring, and cook for 10-12 minutes.

7. Add spices and tomato.
8.. Add dry buckwheat and cover with water to cover everything.

9. Stir and cook with the lid closed, over medium heat, until all the water has boiled off, about 15-20 minutes.

10. Sprinkle with chopped herbs.
