"Mimosa" salad in a new way: a surprise awaits inside

"Mimosa" salad is well known to everyone since childhood. The successful combination of vegetables and fish creates an interesting taste and beautiful appearance of the salad.

A food blogger with the nickname zhuravlina_cooking decided to go further. On Instagram, she presented a new version of the "Mimosa salad", which has an unusual appearance and a surprise inside.

Ingredients

  • Sesame seeds – 100 gr
  • Canned sardine – 1 can
  • Boiled potatoes – 1 pc
  • Boiled carrots – 1 pc
  • Boiled chicken eggs – 4 pcs
  • Boiled quail eggs – 6-7 pcs
  • Hard cheese – 100 gr
  • Green onions – 20-30 gr
  • Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Dill – 2 sprigs

Method of preparation.

1. Grate the boiled potatoes, carrots, and hard cheese on a fine grater and put them in a deep bowl.

2. Separate the white from the yolk in chicken eggs and grate it on a fine grater. Add to the vegetables.

3. Finely chop the green onion, chop the sardine with a fork, and combine with the rest of the ingredients.

4. Add mayonnaise, salt, pepper, soy sauce and mix.

5. Fry the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan until golden brown, then transfer to a separate container.

6. Grate the yolks finely and place on a plate.

7. With wet hands, take a portion of the salad, place a whole quail egg on top, and cover it with the second portion of the salad. Shape the salad into a carrot.

8. Roll the "carrot" first in egg yolks and then in sesame seeds.

9. Stick a sprig of dill on top.
