Mimosa in a new way: how to make this festive salad with salmon
Mimosa can be classified as a traditional salad served in layers. However, thanks to the salmon that is part of it, the dish will take on a completely new flavor.
A similar recipe for a traditional salad with an unusual ingredient was shared by food blogger lizaglinskaya on Instagram. This dish will be a great addition to any holiday table.
Ingredients for mayonnaise
- egg - 1 pc
- mustard - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 10 ml
- oil - 100 ml
- white yogurt - 100 ml
Ingredients for the salad
- boiled potatoes - 4 pcs
- boiled carrots - 4 pcs
- lightly salted salmon - 250 g
- white onion - ½ pc
- boiled eggs - 4 pcs
- greens
- salt
- pepper
How to make mayonnaise
1. Mix lemon juice, mustard and egg. Beat with a blender for a few minutes.
2. Add yogurt and mix again.
Method of preparing the salad
1. First, marinate the onions. Cut into half rings, sprinkle with sugar and salt, mix thoroughly, and leave for 10 minutes.
2. The salad should be assembled in a round shape with a diameter of 18-20 cm.
3. Put half a portion of potatoes grated on a coarse grater on the bottom and pour mayonnaise over.
4. Put a layer of fish.
5. Put a layer of pickled onions.
6. Add finely chopped whites and pour mayonnaise again.
7. The next layer is grated carrots. Drizzle with mayonnaise.
8. Put the rest of the potatoes and add mayonnaise.
9. Sprinkle the top of the salad with egg yolk and sprinkle with herbs to taste.
