The recipe for a lean coffee cake with orange is useful not only during Lent. The dish turns out to be very tasty and flavorful, which means it will be delicious at any time.

Food blogger Lisa Glinska shared the recipe for this cupcake. On Instagram, she explained how to make this cupcake to make it perfect for morning coffee.

Ingredients for the cupcake

  • Flour - 200 gr
  • Cocoa powder - 20 gr
  • Baking powder - 10 g
  • Orange juice - 100 ml
  • Orange zest - 1 pc
  • Espresso coffee - 200 ml
  • Sugar - 200 gr
  • Coconut oil - 70 g

Ingredients for the chocolate coating

  • Dark chocolate - 200 gr
  • Butter - 20 ml
  • Chopped almonds - 50 g

Method of preparation

1.Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.

2. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, and baking powder.

3. Combine the hot orange juice with coffee, orange zest, and hot coconut oil.

4. Add the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

5. Grease a baking dish with butter and flour.

6. Put the dough into the mold and bake for 30-40 minutes at 170 degrees.

7. Prepare the chocolate coating. Mix the melted chocolate with the butter and chopped nuts.

8. Cover the still hot cupcake with the resulting mass and send it to the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens.
