Korean-style celery: how to prepare a healthy snack
Celery is a product that many people in the store simply don't pay attention to. However, it is actually a must-have in every person's diet because it is extremely nutritious and healthy. You can even make a delicious and savory appetizer out of this product.
The idea of cooking Korean-style celery was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname recepti_dariko.
Method of preparation:
- celery root - 1 kg
- carrots - 150-200 g
- vegetable oil - 200 ml
- salt - 1 tbsp
- sugar - 4 tbsp
- vinegar - 5 tbsp
- garlic - 10 cloves
- hot chili pepper without seeds - to taste (1/3 of a small pepper)
- ground coriander - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Peel celery root, carrots and garlic. Grate the celery and carrots on a Korean grater or with the appropriate attachment on a food processor or meat grinder. Put them in a bowl. Put the garlic and finely chopped hot pepper on top.
2. Pour oil into a saucepan and add salt, sugar, vinegar and coriander. Bring to a boil.
3. Pour the boiling oil over the vegetables so that the oil passes through the garlic and pepper (this is what gives the flavor). Mix well.
4. Cover and refrigerate for a day.
5. Put the finished celery in clean jars.
