Interesting syrnyky recipe for breakfast: add one unusual ingredient

Syrnyky are one of our favorite breakfasts since childhood. They can be sweet and served with jam or condensed milk. Or they can be savory, served with dill, sour cream, and garlic. Either way, it's a great breakfast option that gives you strength throughout the day.

Today, food blogger Maksym Menzak shared another interesting recipe for syrnyky on his Instagram. He added chia seeds to the cottage cheese dough, which makes this dish unusual.

Ingredients

  • cottage cheese - 700 gr
  • egg - 1 pc
  • vanilla sugar - 10 gr
  • sugar - 50 gr
  • semolina - 40 gr
  • chia seeds - 100 g

Method of preparation

1. Pass cottage cheese through a sieve, freeing it from excess moisture.

2. Mix egg, vanilla sugar, and sugar with a whisk.

3. Add cottage cheese, semolina, and chia seeds.

4. Knead thoroughly and refrigerate for 40 minutes.

5. Form balls weighing 55 grams.

6. Roll them in semolina and shape into syrnyky.

7. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
