How to bake mackerel with a spicy sauce in an unusual way: an original recipe from the chef

Mackerel is a very tasty and healthy fish that can be deliciously baked, marinated, and salted. It is also an ideal base for salads, such as Mimosa.

Chef Mykola Liulko shared a recipe for delicious baked fish in yogurt sauce with citrus on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Mackerel - 2-3 pcs.
  • Dried garlic - to taste
  • Ground black pepper - a pinch
  • Salt - a pinch

 

  • Fresh garlic - 1-2 cloves.
  • Rosemary - 1-2 sprigs
  • Lemon - 1 pc.

For the sauce:

  • Yogurt - 300 g
  • Zest of 1 lemon or lime
  • Lemon juice - 0.5
  • Mint - 20 g
  • Salt - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Gut the fish, salt and pepper inside. Put garlic, lemon slices, and rosemary inside. Bake in the oven, but you can also grill.

2. Sauce: grate lemon zest, chop mint, add yogurt, lemon juice, salt, mix.

3. Serve the fish with the yogurt sauce.
