How to prepare homemade granola from buckwheat which is delicious to eat with yogurt

Traditional granola is a mixture of different crunchy cereals. It is ideal for a quick and healthy breakfast and snack because you just need to pour the product into a bowl and fill it with your favorite yogurt. You can also make delicious granola at home: you just need buckwheat.

The idea of making granola from buckwheat was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname aleksa_litvish. The product can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Ingredients:

  • buckwheat - 200 g (green or roasted, can be 50/50)
  • honey/maple syrup - 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp
  • nut paste - 30 g
  • sea salt - 1/4 tsp.
  • almond or vanilla extract - a few drops
  • whole almonds or flakes - 50 g
  • coconut flakes - 50 g
  • pistachios - 50 g
  • flax - 20 g

Method of preparation:

1. Pour cold water over the dry buckwheat.

2. Leave for several hours, preferably overnight.

3. Drain and rinse.

4. Put on a parchment in a single layer, dry in a preheated 200-degree oven for up to 5 minutes.

5. Mix 2 tbsp of honey, nut paste, salt and extract. Chop the nuts.

6. Add buckwheat and everything else.

7. Spread in a single layer on parchment.

8. Put in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

9. Stir, pour 2 more tablespoons of honey, and put in the oven for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

10. Remove and cool on a baking sheet.

11. Store for up to 3 weeks: eat with yogurt or milk as a snack
