How to make homemade mayonnaise to make it a beautiful yellow color: a simple recipe
If you make mayonnaise at home, you will be sure of the quality of the sauce. And also in its attractive appearance. For mayonnaise to have a rich yellow color and a thick texture, it should be made only with egg yolks, without proteins.
The idea of making mayonnaise with egg yolks was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Daryna Ivanova (eatme_daily). You only need 5 ingredients.
Ingredients:
- egg yolks - 3 pcs.
- lemon juice - 1.5-2 tsp.
- classic mustard - 2 tsp.
- refined sunflower oil - 600 ml
- salt and pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Put the yolks in a bowl.
2. Add mustard and lemon juice.
3. Beat until light and frothy.
4. Then very slowly, in a trickle, add the oil in portions, whisking in one direction all the time. Do not stop whipping.
5. When the sauce thickens and about 200 ml of oil is in the mayonnaise, you can speed up a bit.
6. Adjust the taste of the finished mayonnaise with salt, pepper and lemon.
