Homemade yogurt cream cheese: you only need 4 ingredients

Even regular yogurt can be used to make a real cream cheese. It will be very tender and moderately thick. Moreover, all the ingredients are natural and budget-friendly.

The idea of making homemade cream cheese from yogurt was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Iryna Kharchyshina (irisha_redko). You only need 4 ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • sour cream 20% - 350 g
  • yogurt 8% - 350 g
  • lemon juice - 1/2 lemon
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Combine sour cream, yogurt, lemon juice and salt in a bowl.

2. Mix well.

3. Put a colander in a saucepan.

4. Put in cheesecloth.

5. Pour in the sour cream and yogurt mixture.

6. Cover and put a load on top.

7. Refrigerate for 6-8 hours.

8. The cream cheese is ready - you can cook your favorite bruschetta and more.
