Bananas are a great addition to any cake, pastry, or pie. With this fruit, all desserts will be delicious. So it's a good idea to make an all-purpose banana filling.

The idea of making a universal banana filling for cakes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Nadia Oranska (nadia.oranska). The preparation is perfectly stored in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 bananas (each 110 g) - total 500 g
  • sugar - 160 g
  • cream - 80 g
  • butter - 80 g
  • a pinch of salt

Method of preparation:

1. Cut green firm bananas into rings up to 1 cm thick.

2. Melt the sugar in a frying pan.

3. Pour in the heated cream (not boiled).

4. Add a pinch of salt (stir constantly).

5. Add the butter at room temperature. Stir until the butter is combined with the caramel.

6. At the end, add bananas, cook for exactly one minute. Do not overheat.

7. Transfer to a bowl, cool, and refrigerate.
