Lean desserts can also be quite appetizing and delicious. There are many plant-based ingredients that can be used to make, for example, sweet cookies for tea. You won't even notice that there is no milk, butter, or sour cream in the ingredients.
The idea of making homemade lean chocolate orange cookies was published on the Instagram page of the famous Ukrainian chef Liza Hlinska (lizaglinskaya). Nuts are great for the filling.
Recipe for lean chocolate cookies

Ingredients:
- flour - 300 g (10 tbsp)
- cocoa powder - 40 g (4 tbsp)
- sugar - 140 g (7 tbsp)
- baking powder - 8 g (1 tsp)
- salt - a pinch
- sunflower oil - 150 ml (refined)
- orange juice - 130 ml or water (9 tbsp)
- zest of one orange
Additional ingredients:
- powdered sugar - 40 g (2 tbsp)
- nuts - 50 g (almonds, cashews or walnuts)
Method of preparation:
Flour for the dish

1. Grate orange zest.
2. Cut the orange and squeeze out the juice. Instead of juice, you can use water, tea or coffee.
3. Add vegetable oil and powdered sugar. Stir to combine.

4. Whisk everything with an immersion blender for a few minutes to form an emulsion (the water combined with oil).

5. Add cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and flour through a sieve.
6. Mix dough with a silicone spatula. No need to knead for a long time.

7. Form cookies: make small balls 3-3.5 cm in diameter.

8. Roll them in powdered sugar and put a nut inside.
9. Put the formed cookies on the parchment and bake in a preheated oven to 175 degrees for 15-16 minutes.
