Banana and caramel pie: how to impress your family with the incredible taste

Bananas go perfectly with caramel. This combination is suitable both for desserts and as an independent dish.

A food blogger with the nickname anny.cooking told us how to make a banana caramel pie that will impress the most demanding gourmets. She posted the recipe on Instagram.

Ingredients for caramel

  • Sugar – 150 gr
  • Butter – 50 gr

Ingredients for the pie

  • Bananas – 3 pcs.
  • Soft butter – 100 gr
  • Sugar – 110 gr
  • Eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Vanilla
  • Sour cream – 80 gr
  • Salt
  • Flour – 210 gr
  • Baking powder – 10 g

The method of preparation

1. Peel the bananas and cut them into rings about 1 cm thick.

2. Melt the sugar over low heat and bring it to an amber color. Remove from heat and add soft butter.

3. Cover the baking dish with parchment, put bananas on the bottom and pour caramel over them.

4. Combine soft butter with sugar and salt, beat with a blender.

5. Add the eggs one by one without stopping the whipping process.

6. Add vanilla, sour cream, sifted flour and baking powder and mix the dough with a mixer.

7. Spread the dough on the bananas with caramel, smooth it out and cover with foil.

8. Bake at 170 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Remove the foil 25 minutes after the start of baking.

9. Take out the cake, let it cool completely, and then turn it over.
