All-purpose pickled onions for salads and other dishes: stored in the refrigerator
If you pickle onions, they will have a completely different flavor. The vegetable will be very spicy, juicy, and all the bitterness will disappear. Such onions are suitable for absolutely any dish, and you can store them simply in the refrigerator.
The idea of cooking universal pickled onions for different dishes was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname top_havchik. Marinate the vegetable for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
- onions - 2 pcs.
- water - 200 ml.
- apple cider vinegar - 7 tbsp.
- sugar - 1 tbsp.
- salt - 0.5 tbsp.
- black pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Add water, vinegar, pepper, salt, and sugar to a saucepan.
2. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves, for 3-4 minutes.
3. Cut onions into thin strips.
4. Fill with liquid.
5. Let stand for 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
6. The onions are ready to eat. You can store them the refrigerator for up to a week.
