Without bread: sushi sandwich with crab sticks and avocado for a quick and healthy snack

If you want a tasty, easy, and quick snack but don't want to make hot sandwiches, then use nori or rice. For the filling, you can use crab sticks, cheese, and avocado.

The cook shared a recipe for a delicious sushi sandwich on Instagram, based on crab sticks and nori.

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of nori
  • 250 g of crab sticks
  • 1 tbsp. of mayonnaise
  • 0.5-1 tsp. of hot sauce
  • avocado
  • 175 g of cream cheese
  • flour, water
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1.25 cups of water

Dressing for rice:

  • 4 tbsp. of rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. of sugar
  • 1 tsp. of salt

Method of preparation:

1. Divide the nori sheet into 2 equal parts, and turn it over with the smooth side down. Put the cooked rice on top in an even layer and press well.

2. Flatten, and spread each half with cream cheese.

3. For the filling: divide the crab sticks into fibers, add mayonnaise, hot sauce, and mix.

4. Put the crab filling on one half of the nori, greased with cream cheese, then the sliced avocado, and cover with the other half.

5. Dip the sandwich first in flour, then in batter (flour and water to the consistency of liquid sour cream), and breadcrumbs.

6. Fry the sandwich in plenty of oil or deep fat until golden brown.
