What to add to the dough to make crispy bagels
The best alternative to pies and cookies for tea is homemade, flavorful bagels with various fillings. You can make the dough for them with kefir, sour cream, milk, margarine, butter, and cottage cheese.
Tip: To make the bagels crispy, be sure to add butter to the dough!
- flour - 400 g
- cottage cheese - 400 g
- butter - 250 g
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- sugar - 150 g
- vanilla sugar
Method of preparation:
1. Grind cottage cheese with sugar, add soft butter, baking powder, vanilla and mix. Add flour and knead the dough well.
2. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out each part on a floured surface. Sprinkle the resulting layer of dough with sugar, and press the sugar into the dough with a rolling pin.
3. Cut the dough layer into 4 pieces and each piece into 4 more. You will have 16 triangles of dough. Roll each triangle into a roll to make bagels. Sprinkle the bagels with sugar and place them on a baking sheet.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 180 C.
