Potatoes often crack and overcook when cooked, and then they have a less impressive appearance and mushy texture.

The FoodOboz editorial team shares tips from chefs on what to add when boiling potatoes to keep them whole.

Culinary experts advise adding citric acid to the water in which potatoes are boiled.

You only need one teaspoon of the product in two liters of water, and the potatoes will not boil or crack.

It is worth noting that citric acid can be replaced with vinegar. Add 1-2 tablespoons of 9% vinegar, and then put the potatoes in a saucepan and boil until tender!
