Milk cakes according to GOST: a recipe for flavorful pastries from childhood
Milk cakes are a true childhood favorite. It's easy to guess that milk and butter are at the heart of the pastry. The cookies are very flavorful, tender, crumbly, and melt in your mouth. Despite the fact that the cakes are baked in the oven for only 12 minutes, the dough must be allowed to rest beforehand.
- milk - 80 ml
- sugar - 150 g
- butter - 80 g
- eggs - 1 pc
- flour - 400 g
- baking powder - 10 g
Method of preparation:
1. First, heat the milk to a warm state, add sugar to it and mix thoroughly with a whisk to dissolve it.
2. Next, add salt, vanilla, egg, butter, flour, and baking powder. Mix everything thoroughly with a spatula, no need to knead the dough by hand. When ready, it should be soft and not stick to your hands. Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
3. At this stage, roll out the dough, but not too thinly, and cut out circles. Put it on a baking sheet.
4. Bake the cakes at 200 degrees for 12 minutes. Sprinkle the finished cookies with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
