How to prepare marinated mackerel properly: recipe for the most successful marinade
Mackerel is a versatile fish that can be baked, salted, pickled, and even made into soup.
Chef Valerii Ponomar shared a recipe for delicious pickled mackerel on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- mackerel - 1-2 pcs.
- water - 1 liter
- salt - 100 g
- sugar - 30 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- celery stalk - 1 pc.
- bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- peppercorns - 10 pcs.
- allspice - 5 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Clean mackerel well from the insides and black films, remove the head and fins, and cut into pieces of 2-2.5 cm.
2. In a saucepan, bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add all the ingredients for the broth. Boil for 10 minutes.
3. The broth should cool completely, Only then can you pour it over the fish and put it in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 24 hours.
