Tip: cook the groats at the rate of 1 cup of groats to 3 cups of water. Pearl barley porridge can be an independent dish, or it can be used to make a hearty salad or soup.
Ingredients:
- water - 3 cups
- pearl barley - 1 cup
- butter - 10 g
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the barley with cold water, then cover with water and leave overnight.
2. Rinse the groats well with water again, put them in a saucepan, cover with water, add salt, and bring to a boil, be sure to remove the foam and cook for another 50 minutes until the groats are tender.
3. Before serving, add butter, stir and serve.
