Chicken liver is a healthy and tasty product that can be the basis for salads, chops, and cutlets. To make it tasty and not bitter, cooks advise soaking it in milk, and to make it soft and juicy, add apples and onions.

Cook Tetiana shared on Instagram her cooking secrets and a recipe for delicious liver that is soft and not bitter.

Ingredients:

  • chicken or turkey liver - 500 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • sour cream - 2 tbsp
  • honey - 1 tbsp
  • water - 150-200 ml
  • tomato paste - 1 tbsp
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Pour boiling water over the liver, peel and cut into pieces.

2. Cut the onion into rings.

3. Mix the tomato paste, sour cream and honey. Add water and mix until smooth.

4. Fry the onion in a preheated frying pan until soft.

5. Add the liver and fry until half cooked.

6. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce and simmer until tender.

Serve the liver with mashed potatoes, rice or buckwheat!
