Any fish can be cooked deliciously and properly to keep it healthy. It's worth noting that fish should always be eaten after heat treatment or in salted form. All members of the salmon family, such as trout, salmon, or pink salmon, can be eaten raw. Sea bass, dorado, tuna, and marlin are also safe, especially if they have been frozen. But river fish should not be eaten raw!

Chef Valeriy Ponomar shared a recipe for baked pike perch with vegetables and oil on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Pike perch 700 g – 3 pcs.
  • Butter – 70 g
  • Black pepper – 2/3 tsp.
  • Cumin – 2/3 tsp.
  • Salt – 1 tsp.
  • Sweet paprika – 1 tsp.
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp.
  • Thyme – 5-6 sprigs

Vegetables:

  • Bell pepper
  • Hot pepper
  • Red onion
  • White onion
  • Salt, pepper, oil

Method of preparation:

1. Peel the scales off the pike perch, cut off the fins, make shallow cuts in the skin, season with salt and pepper inside, and put thyme and butter in the belly.

2. Season the chopped vegetables with salt and pepper, and brush with oil (you can add any spices to taste).

3. Mix the fish spices with the oil and brush the fish on all sides.

4. Put the fish on the vegetables and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 180 C.
