Hearty meat pie with vegetables and cheese for lunch in 30 minutes
Pie is a great alternative to bread, and it is also an ideal option for a tasty and satisfying addition to soups, broths, salads, as well as tea and coffee. They are prepared with various fillings, both savory – meat, mushroom, vegetable, and sweet – berries, fruit, and cheese.
Food expert Svitlana Levytska shared on Instagram a recipe for a tasty and satisfying pie with meat, cheese, and vegetables, which will be ideal for lunch and dinner.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- Eggs – 6 pcs.
- Yogurt – 400 g
- Flour – 300 g
- Baking powder – 3 tsp.
- Salt – a pinch
For the filling:
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Garlic – 3 cloves.
- Carrots – 1 pc.
- Tomatoes – 250 g
- Minced pork – 500 g
- Mozzarella or suluguni – 200 g
- Oil – 1 tbsp.
- Salt, pepper, herbs – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Dough: beat eggs with salt, add yogurt, flour, and baking powder, and mix thoroughly. The dough should be liquid.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, put them in a frying pan and fry until golden brown.
3. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, add to the pan, and cook until golden brown, add the diced tomatoes, stir, and simmer until the liquid evaporates.
4. Then add the minced meat, salt, and pepper to the pan and simmer until the meat is tender, then let the filling cool.
5. Grate the cheese.
5. Grease a baking dish with oil, pour out some of the dough, put the filling, sprinkle with grated cheese, and pour out the remaining dough.
6. Bake the cake for 40-45 minutes at 180 C.
