Homemade pies can be cooked not only in the oven but also in a frying pan. But you need to know that it is better to make the base for fried pies with choux pastry, as it makes the pies very fluffy and soft.

The cook shared on Instagram a recipe for very tasty and satisfying fried pies made with choux pastry.

Ingredients:

Brewing:

  • Flour – 25
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp.
  • Salt – 0.5 tsp.
  • Oil – 30 g
  • Boiling water – 120 g

For the dough:

All the brew:

  • Dry yeast – 4 g
  • Sugar – 5 g
  • Yolk – 1 pc.
  • Warm water – 60 g
  • Flour – 275 g

Method of preparation:

1. Brew: mix all the dry ingredients and add the oil. Brew with boiling water and stir. Set aside and let it cool slightly.

2. During this time, mix the yeast, sugar, egg yolk, flour, and water separately. Add the tea leaves and knead the dough; it should be elastic but slightly sticky. Leave it for 1 hour.

3. Divide into 10 pieces. Roll out each piece, not too thin, otherwise it will tear.

4. Put the filling, pinch like dumplings, and fry on both sides until cooked.
