  • Warm water - 200 ml
  • Vegetable oil - 200 ml
  • Flour - 500 g
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • Salt - 1 tsp.

To grease the cake:

  • Egg + 2 tbsp milk

The filling:

  • Onions - 4 pcs.
  • Carrots - 3 pcs.
  • Cabbage - 1 large head of cabbage
  • Tomato sauce - 4 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Dill and parsley - 3 sprigs each
  • Seasonings (Provencal or Italian herbs) - 1 tbsp. l

Method of preparation:

1. Dough: mix warm water with oil, salt, baking powder and mix well. Pour in the flour and knead the dough, it should be soft and elastic, thanks to the oil it will not stick to your hands. Divide the finished dough into 2 parts and roll out the larger piece of dough to the size of a baking sheet and place it on parchment.

2. Fill: chop the onion and carrot, fry, add the chopped cabbage and simmer for 5 minutes. Then add salt, tomato sauce, spices, chopped dill and parsley and simmer under the lid over medium heat until it becomes soft and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

3. Spread the prepared filling on the dough, then put another layer of dough on top. Fold over the edges, but do not make them thick if you can.

4. Mix the egg with the milk, brush the top of the pie and bake for 40 minutes at 170 C.
