Easier than Sharlotka: an elementary plum pie for tea
Homemade pies are the best treat for tea and coffee. They can be made with various fillings, from cottage cheese, and berries, to cabbage, to seafood.
Cook Polina shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious plum pie that is very soft and fluffy.
Ingredients:
- 120 g butter
- 120 g of sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 120 g of flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- plums
- cinnamon + sugar (for sprinkling)
Method of preparation:
1. Add sugar and salt to soft butter, mix well, and add eggs. Mix until smooth.
2. Add the flour and baking powder and knead into a smooth dough.
3. Pour the batter into the baking dish and add the plum halves, pressing them into the batter a little.
4. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and put in a preheated 200-degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden stick.
