Cabbage pie: a recipe for the simplest dish for soup and salad
Homemade pies can be made with different fillings and with different doughs. If you want to make a filling pie, it is important to make the right dough. Fried cabbage, mushrooms, fish, and vegetables are suitable for the filling.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious cabbage pie on Instagram, which is very quick to prepare.
Ingredients:
Filling:
- 1 medium onion
- 1 carrot
- white cabbage (half whole)
- 3 tbsp. of tomato paste
- 1 young onion
- boiling water
- salt, and pepper to taste
For the dough:
- 3 eggs
- 200 ml of kefir
- 100 g of sour cream
- 200 g of flour
- 1 tsp. of baking powder
- 1 tsp. of salt
- sesame seeds
Method of preparation:
1. Dice the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater, and shred the cabbage.
2. Pour a drop of olive oil into a preheated frying pan and add the onion, fry for 2-3 minutes. Add the carrots and fry for 3-4 minutes. Add the cabbage and simmer the filling under the lid for 7 minutes, then add the tomato paste, salt, pepper, boiling water, and young onions, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
3. Dough: in a bowl, mix eggs, kefir, sour cream until smooth. They should be at room temperature. Add baking powder and sifted flour to the flour. Add salt and mix again until smooth.
4. Pour half of the dough into a baking dish, lightly greased with butter, put the filling, and pour the dough on top again. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 45 minutes at 180 C.
