Peggy, the ugliest dog in the UK, enjoyed her moment of glory on the red carpet as actor Ryan Reynolds held her in his arms during the screening of "Deadpool and Wolverine" in London. The animal became a part of the new superhero movie.

Peggy played the role of a furry assistant to the main character Deadpool, nicknamed Dogpool. This was reported by the Daily Mail.

Last year, the four-legged actress was voted Britain's ugliest dog and belongs to Holly Middleton from Leven, East Yorkshire. "It's love at first sight," Ryan Reynolds told Empire of his partner, "She's like Wade Wilson (Deadpool) if he were an animal.

Holly is proud of her dog, even though the pooch has become famous for her not-so-adorable appearance. Speaking to the BBC last year, the owner said: "We forget that Peggy is a 'non-standard' dog, and we know very well that some people will call her ugly. It's always a joke, and we're not offended, and neither is she."

The star's owner added that some people find Peggy's unusual appearance strange and, in rare cases, repulsive. "Even though Peggy won the title of ugliest dog in the UK, we think she is beautiful both inside and out," Middleton concluded.
