Miss Earth 2023: Ukrainian woman was cut out of the broadcast and forced to dance with a Russian woman who was pushed into the top 8
On Friday, December 22, Vietnam hosted the superfinal of the Miss Earth beauty pageant under the auspices of the United Nations, the theme of which is ecology and environmental care. Ukraine was represented by Anastasia Feier, a native of Zakarpattia, who had to share the stage with a Russian contestant from the country that committed ecocide at the Kakhovka Reservoir.
The show went awry from the very beginning, when due to unexplained problems, the Ukrainian was not even shown to the audience. The finale was broadcast on YouTube, and OBOZ.UA will briefly tell you how the competition went and show the Ukrainian participant.
The first performance was a traditional introduction of the finalists to the audience and the jury. All the contestants, in groups of 5, came up to the microphones and announced their names and countries.
When the five with the Ukrainian girl appeared on stage, the broadcast was interrupted and the other contestants were introduced. All the girls who came on at the wrong time were not reintroduced.
In the next stage, the girls were forced to dance together and then divided into groups, where the participants were shocking in bathing suits. Despite the fact that there were many groups, Anastasia Feier was not far from the Russian girl, who was inexplicably pushed into the top 20 and then the top 8. Fortunately, she was not selected for the top 4.
To summarize, the Ukrainian woman had very little screen time, while the Russian participant was shown much more actively.
