Famous Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala is wanted in the terrorist country Russia. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs is looking for the People's Artist of Ukraine under a criminal article.
This is stated in the department's database, a fragment of which was spread by Russian propaganda media. It is not known under what article the Russian Interior Ministry is looking for the Ukrainian singer, but it has been doing so since October 2023.
Presumably, Susana Jamaladinova (the singer's real name), like most of the people on such lists, is accused of "spreading fakes about the Russian army," which in the civilized world means spreading the truth about the war crimes of the Russian occupiers. This is the information that propagandists in Russian law enforcement agencies received.
It is worth noting that in November of this year, Jamala was arrested in absentia by a Russian court. In addition, back in April 2022, she was included in the list of Ukrainian artists banned from entering Russia for 50 years.
The singer herself has not yet reacted to her new status.
It's worth noting that Jamala has always been a problem for the Russians. It was she who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 with her powerful lyrical composition "1944" about the deportation of Crimean Tatars. In doing so, she prevented the Russian representative Sergey Lazarev, who was also in the running for the crystal microphone, from winning first place. And in 2023, the singer performed at the opening of the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, where she also performed a small fragment of her winning song. She ended her performance by shouting "Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!", which was very risky, given the rules of the contest. As the star herself later admitted, she did not tell anyone about her intentions to shout these words as she was afraid that she would eventually be banned or somehow prevented from doing so.
