Zelenskyy answered where his children are now: of course they are scared

Volodymyr Zelenskyy answered where his children are now

For the first time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has answered where his children are during a full-scale war. According to the Ukrainian leader, 18-year-old Oleksandra and 10-year-old Kyrylo are staying at home.

Zelenskyy assured that he and his wife had decided that they would not send their children abroad, despite the danger they faced. For the first time, the President spoke about the whereabouts of his daughter and son in an interview with the German newspaper Bild.

According to the President, it seems unfair to him that some parents are forced to send their children to the frontline, while others cannot take their children to safe regions or to another country, away from the fighting. That is why he and First Lady Olena Zelenska decided to keep Sasha and Kyrylo in Ukraine.

"My children are in Ukraine, my son is 10 years old, and he is in Ukraine. He could have been taken abroad, but neither I nor my wife even thought about it. While other children are dying, should our children go abroad and sunbathe on the beach? It would be unfair," Zelenskyy commented.

As for Oleksandra, she became a student last year. The girl is studying in Ukraine, but it is not known at which university.

The President does not hide the fact that his children, like all Ukrainians, are afraid of war, regular shelling and other risks.

"Of course, they are scared. We love each other, and it is very difficult to imagine life without each other," he said.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL wrote that on June 4, a ceremony was held near the Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity to unveil a monument to the children of the region who died as a result of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia. The official part was presented by Olena Zelenska, who burst into tears of pain and despair during her speech.
