"What are you talking about?" The Ukrainian actress addressed the actor Yarmolnik, who grew up in Lviv but supported the invasion of Ukraine

Leonid Yarmolnik had Ukrainian citizenship for some time

Popular Ukrainian actress and TV presenter Dasha Tregubova shared her attitude toward her Russian colleagues who support Vladimir Putin's aggressive policy toward Ukraine. She spoke about Leonid Yarmolnik, who grew up in Lviv, and Iryna Gorbachova, who was born and raised in Mariupol.

According to Tregubova, these artists "flew somewhere in orbit and then jumped into a black hole that sucked them in." She spoke about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

The actress recalled that Russians came to Ukraine for filming until February 2022, but added that the actors from Russia whom she knows personally "turned out to be mostly adequate."

"And I look at the others... I am very surprised, for example, by Leonid Yarmolnik. What are you talking about? Why are you doing this?" the actress continues, "Or Iryna Gorbachova, who is from Mariupol. Take, for example, the figure skater Navka (wife of Putin's press secretary Peskov – Ed.), who was born and raised in Dnipro – this is a question of billions. And what is Gorbachova fighting for? For me, this is a war between the past and the future. I have the impression that these artists were flying somewhere in orbit and then jumped into a black hole. It sucked them in, and that's it."

At the same time, Tregubova is positive about those actors who had Ukrainian roots, worked in Russia, but left the country with the invasion: "Those who came back are great. I really like Katia Kuznetsova. I think she's a super actress. I also have a great attitude towards Liubava Greshnova – we know each other. And those who did not return made a big mistake. I don't like to speak negatively about people, but I have to admit that such behavior is very strange. How can the idea of staying in a country that is being dragged into darkness every day come to mind? Anyone who reads the news is well aware of what is happening there."

When asked whether Russian artists really believe in the nonsense about the war in Ukraine that is being spoken publicly, Tregubova says: "I think there are a few crazy people who do. The rest of them are only interested in profit. And fear."

''What are you talking about?'' The Ukrainian actress addressed the actor Yarmolnik, who grew up in Lviv but supported the invasion of Ukraine

We would like to remind you that Russian actor Leonid Yarmolnik, who grew up in Lviv, publicly supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine in an interview with TASS a week ago: "Everything that is happening is happening according to the right laws to defend our sovereignty, our principles, and to keep the peace. It is simply impossible not to act in this situation... I believe that we are on the side that is fighting for the victory of light." Meanwhile, in June 2023, in another interview, the actor expressed hope that the hostilities in Ukraine would end as soon as possible because he "cannot call my life normal" while they continue.

This statement surprised many of Yarmolnik's friends. "Leonid Yarmolnik, a native of the country destroyed by Putin, who lived most of his life in the city of Lviv, is sure that Putin and Russia are on the side of light. All his friends have left the country because they are all on the other side of the light," journalist Ksenia Larina wrote on her Facebook page.

"It's not clear where Yarmolnik is and where Putin is now. Everything is in blood," added publicist Viktor Shenderovich. And FIDE coach Ihor Brodskyi reminded Yarmolnik of his Ukrainian roots: "Leonid Isaakovich Yarmolnik spent his childhood and youth partially in the Zhytomyr region, where his father came from. In the nineties, he took Ukrainian citizenship for a while in order to keep the family apartment in Lviv."

Actress Iryna Gorbachova, who was born and lived in Mariupol and was the wife of Quest Pistols lead singer Anton Savlepov, also supported Russian aggression against Ukraine in January. The artist stated that she is "part of her country, part of her state and any process that takes place in her country." As a result, the cheerful patriot admitted, 95% of her friends turned away from her.
