Vera Farmiga turned on the air raid sound at her concert in the US

Hollywood actress and singer of Ukrainian descent Vera Farmiga turned on the air raid alarm sound at her concert in New York (USA), which Ukrainians hear several times a day due to the risk of missile attacks by Russia. Thus, the star wanted to draw the attention of her American fans to the war in Ukraine.

In addition, Farmiga emotionally delivered a speech on stage in which she called on people to boycott politicians who support military action. The artist posted the video on her personal Instagram page (scroll to the bottom of the page to watch).

"We are against politicians who support the war! We will protest! We will protest!" the actress said, while a siren was blaring in the background.

In the end, Farmiga shouted loudly in Ukrainian: "Glory to Ukraine!"

More than 600 comments (at the time of writing) were posted under the video from Ukrainian fans of the star of the movie The Spell and the TV series Bates Motel. They thanked the actress for her support.

"Vera is a true Ukrainian, we are proud! Ukrainians all over the world - we are a force, together we will defeat the darkness! Glory to Ukraine!", "Glory to the Heroes!", "The best! Thank you for not being silent", "How terribly good it is. We love you, Vera," commenters wrote.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, earlier Farmiga recited Vasyl Symonenko's poem "People are Beautiful" in Ukrainian. She noted that she was insanely proud of the unity and courage of the Ukrainian people.
